Lunch

Parents should provide a sack lunch for your child in a lunch bag labeled with their name and date. Healthy nutritious lunches are strongly encouraged. Lunches should be prepared ready to eat and easily accessible to your child. Facilities are not available to heat lunches. If your child’s lunch contains foods that need to stay refrigerated, please put a cold pack or a frozen juice box in with the food to maintain appropriate temperatures.

As an option (at an additional cost), parents will be notified of a catering company providing hot lunches for your child. These hot lunches are required to be ordered one month in advance. Ask your child’s teacher or director for more information.

Snacks

We will provide mid-morning and afternoon snacks each day. A monthly snack menu is posted on the parent board. The staff of ECEC takes the necessary steps to ensure the safety of food brought from home. They work with families to ensure that food brought from home meet the USDA’s CACFP food guidelines. The guidelines can be found at www.usda.gov.

Please advise the director of any allergies and/or special dietary needs your child may have.
